L’Eiffel Bistrot & Creperie and Glam Optique to Open in January
SOUTH BARRINGTON, Ill. (January 9, 2009) –The Arboretum of South Barrington welcomed the opening of six new stores in December, and will see the opening of two additional stores this month. “We’re very excited about these newest additions to The Arboretum and the South Barrington community,” says Michael Jaffe, developer of the new 600,000 square-foot center. “In these times, it's a real testament to the quality of The Arboretum and its lineup that new stores like these see the opportunity in becoming a part of this great project.”

COOPER’S HAWK WINERY & RESTAURANT, which opened Dec. 1, is an award-winning regional winery/restaurant, headquartered in Willow Springs, Ill. This is their fourth Chicagoland location to open, preceded by two in the south suburbs -- Orland Park and Burr Ridge -- and one on the North Shore in Wheeling. This is the first to be built from the ground up, incorporating The Arboretum’s Tudor concept. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner with a menu that includes salads, pastas, sandwiches, and signature dishes of seafood, chicken and beef that are known for their rich, distinctive sauces. Each dish is paired with a recommended wine utilizing a discreet bin numbering system. MW TUX also opened Dec. 1., bringing a new Men’s Wearhouse formalwear store that offers more than 2,000 color, style and pattern combinations for tuxedoes and other attire for proms, formals, and special events, for purchase or rental. Men’s Wearhouse, one of North America's largest specialty retailers of men's apparel, opened 35 years ago and has grown to over 1,000 stores. FACELOGIC opened its second Chicagoland location at The Arboretum on Dec. 20. The international spa franchise based in Carlsbad, Calif., provides reasonably-priced, elegant facial services and products through an exclusive membership program. “Our personalized 50-minute facials cost as little as $49,” says Anna Phan, owner of Facelogic South Barrington. Guests enjoy private rooms in professional spa chairs with high-end products, dim lighting, music and aromatherapy. L'EIFFEL BISTROT & CREPERIE will open in late January with a dining room, bar and private room set in the art nouveau atmosphere of an authentic Parisian bistrot. The cuisine is also authentic, using fresh seasonal and local products. Luncheon and dinner crepes ($10) include fillings of chicken, pork, seafood, ratatouille, goat cheese, and fresh fish in a light dill cream sauce. Dessert crepes ($5) include those flambéed in orange butter and Grand Marnier, chocolate, mixed berries, or caramelized apple. The Bistrot menu will feature a selection of French cheese, foie gras, homemade paté, escargot, braised lamb shank, roasted duck, quail, bouillabaisse, boeuf Bourguignon, with a wine list offering many great labels from France and around the world. GLAM OPTIQUE, an upscale eyeglass retailer and optometrist, also plans to open in late January 2009. The Arboretum of South Barrington is a 600,000 square-foot retail town center in Chicago’s affluent northwest suburbs that opened in September 2008.
